I carry all the names I’m given performance by Magdalena Forster, Manuel Riegler and Sophia Gatzkan was a part of the exhibition Mechanical Metabolism at at Lothringer 13 Halle in Munich.
The performance I Carry All the Names I’m Given is conceptualised by choreographer Magdalena Forster and visual artist Sophia Gatzkan. Forster’s body coupled with sound artist and musician Manuel Riegler’s soundscape fill and flow through the installations and sculptures of MACHINIC METABOLISM. While Gatzkan’s practice exposes the body as an internalized terrain of power structures through fragmented wax forms, Forster’s latex-clad body and Riegler’s sound serve as choreographic and sonic counterparts—making the human condition experienceable in spatial terms. Forster, Riegler, and Gatzkan further developed their interdisciplinary collaboration for Lothringer 13 Halle, where it was presented during the opening ritual of MACHINIC METABOLISM.
